Description: | ABSTRACT: The Brazilian savana covers a quarter of the national Brazilian territory. About that, 127 millions he are possible for agricultural managerial, 48% were already absorved by productive process. So, the remainder is constituted by frontiers waiting for exploration, part of that was geographicaly placed in areas of North and Northeast regions of country. The area covered with Brazilian savanas, in Northeast region, is abour 361.858,8 km2, and refer to four state (Bahia, Piauí, Ceará and Maranhão). From 1.980 to 2.000, the grain and the oleaginous production, in that region, ocuped about 1.859,4 thousands ha. Roice was the main production, followed by corn and soy. The cultivated area evolution with that grains and with that oleaginous show a tip tendence to a increase, in with the major increment was due to soy and sorghum areas, while the areas with arboreo cotton, rice and lima beans was decreased. The Brazilian Savanna is detached due to the best productivity levels about arboreo cotton, coffee, lima beans, bean, corn, soy. In the analized period, it was constacted that the Northeast Brazilian Savanna agriculture was saverely chaged, causing significantives changes in the economics and social subjects. |
