Description: The purpose of this study is to support decision makers to promote the sustainable use of degraded pastures, through integrated actions that take into account factors such as production, the environment, infrastructure and socioeconomics. To this end, in addition to a brief presentation on Brazil’s agriculture, animal production on pastures in Brazil and the state and potential use of its pastures, the report presents how the sustainable use of pastures can contribute to the country’s development.
