Descripción:	The objectives of this project were 1) to establish the patterns of soil-nutrient depletion as a function of time after clearing for a Central Brazilian Amazon Oxisol under continuous cultivation, 2) to determine the fertilize r inputs required for sustaining continous crop production on these Oxisols, and 3) to determine how a soil-fertility management system for the Manaus Oxisols would differ from one for the Yurimaguas Ultisols.
